A lifelong Wisconsin resident, I was raised in Independence and have lived In Eau Claire since 1973.  I received my first camera as a Christmas gift in 1961, a Kodak Brownie Flashmite - which I still have. This was the beginning of a passion that continues today and led to the creation of the photographs you see here. I credit Brett Weston, Eliot Porter and Ansel Adams for opening my eyes to the many subjects that we often take for granted, from grand landscapes to tiny details. I want my photographs to work on emotional, dramatic and aesthetic levels. My hope is that anyone looking at my work will experience what I felt when taking the photo.
